University Accommodation
Colegio Mayor El Faro, inaugurated in September 2016, is in Moncloa, where the University Campus merges with the centre of Madrid.
It has a total of 358 beds in single and double rooms, in a brand new building with the best facilities.
Living in El Faro, allows you to be a stone's throw from the main universities of Madrid while living in the centre of the city.
You can take a walk or take public transport and be anywhere in the city in a matter of minutes.
In addition, the shuttle bus service to the Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) leaves from just outside our front door in Isaac Peral street, and the buses to Camilo Jos Cela Campus Almagro leave from Plaza de Cristo Rey.
Also, we have rooms adapted for accessibility.

Full board every day of the week (except Christmas and Easter when you'll be at home anyway!).

All expenses included. This means electricity, water, gas, internet, cleaning, food, laundry of your bed linen.
Common areas, including fully equipped gym, dining room with terrace and vending area, laundry service everything you need and right in the city centre of Madrid!
5 study rooms, where you can concentrate and get your head in the books so that you pass all your subjects and get your assignments in on time.
Also, we are always putting on activities for our students, for no extra cost: sports tournaments, charity fun-runs, cultural exhibitions, cooking courses and endless social fun!

Your booking can be cancelled for free if the Visa application has been denied.
A booking can be cancelled for free if you have failed to obtain the required qualifications to get into your university of choice.

The duration of the Contract must be at least 9 months between 12:00 on the day of entry and 12:00 on the day of departure established in the Accommodation Contract. Do I need to pay a deposit? Yes, and the deposit pays part toward the Damage Deposit when due. A security deposit of €250 must be paid in advance to make a booking. This fee then forms part of the Damage Deposit of €800. A guarantor is needed to stay with us, If you have a Spain based guarantor, you can pay your rent in instalments. Alternatively, you can pay your annual rent upfront in a lump sum. We only accept full-time students of 18 yrs and older. Bed linen and towels are provided and washed once a week included in your cost.
If you sign your Tenancy Agreement on or after 1 June 2021 and you have not collected the keys to your Room, you may cancel your Tenancy, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, at any time within the period of fourteen (14) days of the date on which you sign your Tenancy Agreement (the “Cooling-Off Period”). Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Tenancy and will refund your Advance Rent Payment together with any other payments of Rent you may have made.
If you sign a Tenancy Agreement for a semester 2 or 3 beginning after the 1st January 2022, you may cancel your Tenancy, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, with no penalty up until 15 November 2021 or 8 weeks before the start of your agreement whichever is the shortest. Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Tenancy and will refund your Advance Rent Payment, together with any other payments of Rent you may have made. We can only accept full-time students. To live with us whilst studying at University, you will need to be 18 or older. We don’t allow smoking inside your residence, but you’re free to smoke outside.
If you have not collected your key you may also cancel at any time within the period of fourteen (14) days of the date on which you sign your Tenancy Agreement (the “Cooling-Off Period”). El Faro is the ideal accommodation for students of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), the Universidad Polytechnic de Madrid (UPM), Universidad San Pablo (CEU), Comillas (ICADE and ICAI), the European Institute of Design (IED) And St Louis University Madrid Campus.
The Moncloa transport interchange is less than 400m away. From there the interurban buses also leave to many universities with campuses outside the city centre: ESIC, CEU Monteprncipe, and UCM Somosaguas.
Colegio Mayor El Faro, in the Moncloa neighbourhood, is very close to the commercial and nightlife areas of Argelles and Princesa.
It is right in front of Hospital Clnico and Fundacin Jimnez Daz.

In times of uncertainty and your peace of mind, we recommend you select a flexible rate with free cancellation. If your plans change, you can always cancel free of charge until the cancellation expires.
